Affiliate refers to a person participating in this form of marketing, who share such links.

An affiliate link is a custom URL that contains the affiliate’s ID or username. In affiliate programs, advertisers use affiliate links to record the traffic that is sent to the advertiser’s website. This action is all part of an affiliate program. If a purchase has been made through the affiliate link, then the affiliate stands to earn a commission for it.
